Description :
It’s quartz that contains thin, needle‑like crystals of rutile, a titanium‑oxide mineral.
Those needles can be: golden coppery reddish silver or even black Your piece has the classic golden‑brown rutile, which is the most sought‑after variety. As quartz grows, tiny rutile crystals form first.
Later, the quartz grows around them, trapping the rutile inside like frozen lightning. This creates: straight or intersecting needles starburst patterns dense “hair‑like” inclusions or sparse, elegant strands Your specimen shows intersecting golden needles, which gives it that dramatic internal texture. Every piece is completely unique — the rutile patterns never repeat. The contrast between clear quartz and metallic rutile makes it visually striking. Collectors love pieces where the rutile is bright, well‑defined, and visible from multiple angles. It’s durable (quartz hardness 7), so it holds up well in displays or jewelry. Disclaimer:
