Description :

What Citrine Is

Citrine is a yellow to orange variety of quartz. The color comes from iron inside the crystal that changes when heated naturally inside the Earth.

What You’re Seeing in Your Piece

  • Deep amber points toward the center

  • Lighter yellow crystals around the edges

  • A pale white quartz base where the cluster grew

  • Sharp, well‑formed crystal tips that catch the light beautifully

That gradient from white → pale yellow → deep orange is classic citrine.

How It Forms

Citrine grows in cavities inside rock (often volcanic). Silica-rich water fills the space, and quartz crystals slowly grow inward. If iron is present and conditions are right, the quartz turns yellow.
