Red rug 62" X 37". This wool rug is a Bokhara-style rug. This style is well-known for its distinctive, repeating octagonal or oval motifs known as "guls" (flowers) or sometimes as "elephant's feet" motifs, set against a predominantly red or rust-colored background. The design that originated with the Tekke tribe of Turkmenistan. Brown rug 48" X 30". The visible wear and potential slight color variations (abrash) suggest this is a vintage or semi-antique piece, adding to its authentic tribal character. It is crafted from wool and dyed with natural vegetable dyes. Hand-knotted, a characteristic of the nomadic Baluch tribes in the border regions of Iran and Afghanistan, which contributes to its durability and unique quality.
