Description :
A finely modeled early 20th‑century Continental chryselephantine figurine depicting a seated theatrical performer in richly detailed, ruffled costume. The figure’s expressive pose, delicately carved ivory‑toned face and hands, and bronze‑finished attire evoke the style of the Parisian sculptors working in the manner of Paul Philippe and his contemporaries. Mounted on a green onyx plinth over a stepped black base, the piece presents beautifully from all angles, with crisp folds, textured surfaces, and a serene, contemplative expression. A striking decorative accent with the charm and craftsmanship characteristic of the Art Deco era. Subject: Pierrette, the melancholy female counterpart to Pierrot from Commedia dell'arte. *Please note sometime in the 20th century she lost her right index finger. Approx. 8" H × 4" W × 4" D.
Dimensions : 4 in W x 8 in H x 4 in D
