Description :

This unique collection features beautifully crafted traditional Pacific Island textile art pieces, perfect for collectors of ethnographic art or anyone looking to add a touch of authentic tropical warmth to their decor.

  • Polynesian Tapa Art: Features a pair of vibrantly colored, hand-painted parrots set against a traditional textured barkcloth backing.

  • Fijian Masi Tapestries: Includes authentic Fijian Masi (tapa cloth), painstakingly handcrafted from the inner bark of the paper mulberry tree. These pieces showcase classic, intricate geometric patterns and motifs hand-inked in traditional earth tones, charcoals, and rust hues.

Each piece highlights the organic textures and rich cultural heritage of Pacific Island barkcloth making, rendering them excellent standalone statement pieces or additions to a gallery wall.

Condition Report

  • Overall Condition: Good vintage condition.

  • Details: Minor expected age-related wear, light fraying along the organic edges, and natural variations in the handmade barkcloth fibers, all of which contribute to the authentic character of the pieces. Please review all gallery photographs closely to assess the fine details and condition.
