Pair of red mixed media pieces by our client, Barbara Barnes Allen. Both are really wonderful, but need some attention to become fabulous!

"Seeing Red" centers the theme of USSR/Russia from 1999. The rich colors and interesting small items included draw one in and encourage making sense of the relationship between the quotes and the items. We love the brilliant red against the neutral linen back! Please note this piece needs some TLC. There are a few strands of textile that have fallen down to the bottom of the shadowbox and there is a stain on the linen in the upper left-hand corner (see last 4 photos of this piece). If this were our piece, we would remove the piece from the frame, vacuum out the frame, and handwash the linen area before re-inserting it into the frame since it is a high-quality light wood frame. We might also consider springing for a new frame as an alternative since we really love this artwork and would want it to really shine. Measures 28" H x 30.25" W x 2.25" D framed.

"Cut Back" is a collage/assemblage built around tin snips with lots of embellishments in red, metal, and numerous other elements. This is probably our favorite collage in this auction since we love the hard/soft materials contrast. Plexi frame measures 24.5" H x 17.5" W x 4" D. There is one small flaw - one of the little letter beads has dropped to the bottom of the frame - barely noticeable, but wanted to mention. See circled area in last photo.

Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you win, you must pick up your item(s). If you default on your purchase, your bidding privileges will be revoked permanently. Do not bid if you do not plan to purchase.If you bid, you MUST be available/arrange for pick-up of purchases on the pick-up date unless you have made prior shipping arrangements. Bring necessary tools and help for picking up large items. Loading assistance is NOT available. Some items may be located on a 2nd floor, out building.

Invoices are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed.Full payment must be made by 8:00 p.m. the day after auction closes. If total payment is not received before the pick-up date & time, items will be forfeited, and bidding privileges revoked.

Pick-up information will be on the invoice e-mailed after the auction closes.All items not picked up during the designated times will be considered abandoned and may be donated or resold. When possible, and at our sole discretion, an alternate pick-up time may be arranged. If this is possible, an appropriate fee will be charged.

A 12% Buyer's Premium and Sales Tax are added to the winning bid amount when invoiced. Sales tax is waived for licensed re-sellers.
