Description :
Original green tint glass soda pop bottle circa 1900s Bottle stands 9.5” tall/2.5” diameter and weighs 2 pounds The unique feature about this unusual bottle is how the bottle was sealed. A glass marble is held in the neck of the bottle. When filled and pressured, the marble would be forced to the top of the bottle neck held by a rubber seal. To open the bottle, the top of the bottle was slapped by the palm of your hand to force the marble back into the neck of the bottle. A pinch in the glass would hold the marble in place preventing the marble closing off the bottle top. The slapping motion and pushing the marble back into the neck was like a “POP” This is why some bottles are still referred to as soda “POP” Fish bowl artist unknown/11.25 diameter/2.5” tall. Bowl is heavy
