Description :

Excellently handcrafted Jemez Storyteller Native American pottery figure of a mother singing to her children as she holds them was made & signed by J. Lucero. J. Lucero was an Elder in the Isleta Indians located in Isleta, New Mexico and a singer songwriter who often played music at his reservation. Storyteller dolls have taken the place of historic figurative pottery and has become a popular collected Native American art form. The Storyteller is in honor of how generations of American Indians passed down their history and stories to younger generations through oral storytelling. 

The Storyteller piece measures at 8” tall x 5” deep x 4” wide.
