Description :
Set of 4 Campbell’s Soup Company cans in various designs celebrating the 50th anniversary of soup can art (1962) by artist Andy Warhol (1928- 1987). These were licensed in 2012 by the Andy Warhol Foundation - the only organization authorized to produce/reproduce any of his products. Printed labels with Andy’s signature and a quote were wrapped around the cans – these are all tomato soup. (Interior soup appears to have thickened or dried up when cans are shaken, obviously not suitable for consumption as use by date was 2014!). Measure 4” H x 2.5” diameter. All are still sealed and unused, but show their age & storage wear - particularly the yellow one. Please see photos.
Warhol “Flowers” bag licensed by the Andy Warhol Foundation to manufacturer Loop. Distressed to look old, the bag is in heavy green canvas printed in greens and black. Straps are green on one side, silver on the other with Warhol quote “MY FAVORITE SMELL IS THE FIRST SMELL OF SPRING IN NEW YORK.” Interior key clip and slide pockets. After his “Flowers” series of 1964. Measures 15” H x 14” W x 4” D. Bag is in good condition, but does show some signs of use with 2 stains on the interior - they do not show on the exterior - see last photo.
