Description :
Mr. Robot The Mechanical Brain from Ha Ha Toys
of China - model #MS 645 in grey - is a reproduction of a 1950s Alps Japanese
robot. Mr. Robot works on both winding and a single AA battery. The
battery powers his blinking light hands while the windup powers his feet.
Unfortunately, when we put a battery in his head, nothing happened; When we
wound him up he did walk, but obviously something with his mechanism is not
running smoothly. However, he looks pretty good and most of us would want him
for display anyhow. He has only a couple of noticeable cosmetic flaws: a small flaw in
the finish on his right foot and a few small scrapes here and there - see last two photos for examples. Otherwise, he is really a fine
example of retro robot style. Comes with his original box. Measures approx.
8.5" H.
Wind-up Space Robot is another modern repro of a Japanese classic Yoshiya robot. In grey with red
highlights, after winding he walks with/without touching the antenna and has great detailing. Model #MS-403 from China – he’s featured on the Schylling website. Measures 8” H. We think he is
supposed to have something light up, but we can’t
see any sparks like the box says. Again, like his buddy, he is a wonderful display model with all
of his detail. Comes with original box. Measures approx. 8” H.
