Description :
The Vintage Lisa Larson Gustavsberg Ceramic Figure is a charming representation of mid-century Scandinavian design. This figure, crafted from high-quality ceramic, depicts a child dressed in winter attire. The child is adorned with a textured blue hood lined with gray fur and scarf, a blue coat with intricate white patterns, white mittens, and brown boots. The facial features are simple yet expressive, capturing a sense of innocence and warmth. The various glazes applied to the ceramic give the figure its vibrant colors and textures, with the blue coat featuring detailed patterns that add to its visual appeal. Lisa Larson, a renowned Swedish designer, created this figure as part of her “Children of the World” series, which she began in the 1960s. Larson joined Gustavsberg in 1954 and quickly became known for her whimsical and stylized ceramic figures. Her work is celebrated for its artistic value and its ability to capture human expressions and characteristics in a minimalist yet evocative manner. Today, her pieces are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of Scandinavian design. Measurement: 8 inches tall
