Description :

Rocket Craft tin litho “Rocket Express” made by Linemar of Japan circa 1950. Shows heavy wear but still retains its great design lines. Supposed to run on any suspended cord, but when a “D” battery was inserted & the red lever at the nose pulled, nothing happened so the movement mechanism needs repair. Lovely details like the varied silhouettes of passengers through the windows and the lightning bolt trim in red echoed by the rear fins. Measures approx. 10” L.

Vintage tin litho friction rocket in red, white, and black. This one also looks good for display, but doesn’t run – we think it had sparks in the rear red windows and a bulb in the clear nosecone at one point. Despite this, it still looks pretty good with checkerboard fins and US Air Force livery. It was made in Japan, but we cannot find the manufacturer mark. Measures approx. 12.5” L.

Bring necessary tools and help for picking up large items. Loading assistance is NOT available. Some items may be located on a 2nd floor, out building.

Invoices are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed.Full payment must be made by 8:00 p.m. the day after auction closes. If total payment is not received before the pick-up date & time, items will be forfeited, and bidding privileges revoked.

Pick-up information will be on the invoice e-mailed after the auction closes.All items not picked up during the designated times will be considered abandoned and may be donated or resold. When possible, and at our sole discretion, an alternate pick-up time may be arranged. If this is possible, an appropriate fee will be charged.

A 10% Buyer's Premium and Sales Tax are added to the winning bid amount when invoiced. Sales tax is waived for licensed re-sellers.
