Description :

This lot contains several photographs, a “floppy record", and correspondence.

3 Photos: we believe the B & W photos are of Eugene Krantz at his console & Christopher Kraft discussing the mission with Walter Williams - the latter photo is an official NASA photo with description on the verso. We believe the color photo is of Christopher Kraft in his capacity as flight operations director.

The correspondence is signed by Gerry Griffin, the Apollo Flight Director at Mission Control who served in that position during all manned Apollo missions and later went on to Space Center Directorship.

The record “Voices from the Moon” was produced by Philco, the company devised the consoles used at Mission Control seen during the missions. A part of Ford, the company also creased systems and microcircuits for Apollo.

Note – we have had no issues with any of this client’s signed memorabilia in previous auctions; we believe these signatures are authentic given the client’s connections/collecting habits. However, please be advised that we have not had them officially authenticated by experts.
