Description :

Pair of rockets from Japan that would be great display models.

Vintage XX-2 friction rocket from Nomura of Japan. Red & white fuselage with passenger/pilot profiles in the portholes. Friction on the rocket does not appear to be working and we think there is a rear red section that was supposed to spark that is no longer present. Great mid-century lines; in used condition. Measures 13” L

1960s vintage USAF friction rocket missile – notes it was made in Japan, but we cannot find the actual maker mark. Has a blue & white fuselage with red trim, US Air Force livery, and a rubber nose. The friction mechanism is virtually non-existent, thus what was probably a “sparking” end under the red plastic windows in the base doesn’t light up either. Could need a new flint, but we will let its new owner decide to repair it or not. In used condition. Measures 13.5” L.

Invoices are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed.Full payment must be made by 8:00 p.m. the day after auction closes. If total payment is not received before the pick-up date & time, items will be forfeited, and bidding privileges revoked.

Pick-up information will be on the invoice e-mailed after the auction closes.All items not picked up during the designated times will be considered abandoned and may be donated or resold. When possible, and at our sole discretion, an alternate pick-up time may be arranged. If this is possible, an appropriate fee will be charged.

A 10% Buyer's Premium and Sales Tax are added to the winning bid amount when invoiced. Sales tax is waived for licensed re-sellers.
