Description :
Lots of posters/promo/photos pertaining to Forbidden Planet
& in its various incarnations. Note that this lot includes signed photo
from actors in the film.
One 8” x 10” color photo of a lobby card signed by Anne
Francis, Leslie Nielsen, and Walter Stevens in gold & silver Sharpie. In
excellent condition. Fifteen 8” x 10” black & white still photos from the
production. One of these is definitely vintage – Anne Francis on the deck of the Robby Tank – but we are unsure of the vintage of the others. One vintage double-sided broadsheet from the original movie
release in 1956. In ok used condition – paper is a bit brittle and yellowed
and torn along one fold, but still a great image - see last photo for detail on rip. Measures approx. 16” H x 23” W.
Full color movie poster. This was produced in 1993 by Turner
Entertainment based on the original 1950s poster. In very good condition with
no pinholes or folds. Slight edge wear – see photos. Measures 36” H x 24” W. Ten 8” x 10” color photos of lobby cards (note that these
are photos, not the actual lobby cards). Note – we have had no issues with any of this client’s signed
memorabilia in previous auctions; we believe these signatures are authentic given
the client’s connections/collecting habits. However, please be advised that we
have not had them officially authenticated by experts.
