This is an incredible custom tenor from TYDE! On this one, they used the beauty nature has naturally created for the sound holes. Ty and Devin say, "being self-taught luthiers and nontraditionalists has made us really stand out in the ukulele community. When we receive sets like ‘Ghost Face’ the shape and size is drawn on opposite with all clean wood, we then flip it around and see if we can make the soundboard work with it’s natural scars."This piece of Sitka spruce (top) was reclaimed by Alaska Specialty Woods. It came from a float log in southern Alaska and was used to float a house in its previous life. The holes made from a creature in the sea called a Teredo worm (actually a type of clam).  The back and sides are an exotic Kekatong from Indonesia. This instrument also comes with a side sound port on the lower bout for nice projection to the players ear. It has rare ebony with light streaks in the faceplate and fretboard. For the inlay and fret markers we used fossilized walrus tusk and is over 10,000 years old. This tenor is light in weight, has low action with the zero fret and perfect neck, and is very comfortable to play with the soft bevel. Above all is the sound. This custom tenor has fat warm tones with beautiful clarity and sustain.
