Description :

The American Flyer Santa Fe Alco A-B Diesel Engine is a sought-after vintage model train set produced by American Flyer (a division of A.C. Gilbert) during the mid-20th century. It is well-known for its classic red, silver, and yellow Santa Fe "Warbonnet" paint scheme, making it a favorite among collectors of S-gauge model trains.

Key Features of the American Flyer Santa Fe Alco A-B Diesel Engine:

  • S-Gauge Scale (1:64) – American Flyer trains are known for their realistic proportions and two-rail track system.
  • A-B Unit Configuration – The "A" unit is the powered locomotive, while the "B" unit is an unpowered dummy car, often used to create a more realistic train formation.
  • Warbonnet Paint Scheme – One of the most iconic liveries in railroad history, representing the Santa Fe Railway.
  • Pull-Mor Power – American Flyer engines from this era often featured Pull-Mor traction tires, enhancing grip on the track.
  • Lighted Headlamp & Horn – Some versions included a working headlamp and electronic horn for added realism.

Untested and has some vintage wear.
