Description :

A commanding 1948 panoramic photograph featuring the USS Boxer (CV-21), a distinguished Essex-class aircraft carrier of the United States Navy. This official Navy command photo captures the vessel in crisp detail, likely taken during its early post-World War II service period, just prior to its deployment in the Korean War.

  • Medium: Black-and-white photographic print

  • Dimensions: Approx. 46" L × 14.5" H

  • Presentation: Professionally framed under glass

  • Condition: Appears well-preserved with expected signs of age; frame shows minor wear consistent with vintage display

  • Historical Note: The USS Boxer was commissioned in 1945 and played a pivotal role in early Cold War naval operations. This photo likely served as a commemorative or command-issued display piece.

Ideal for collectors of naval memorabilia, military history, or mid-century photographic archives. A striking wall piece with strong provenance appeal.
