Description :
A jubilant burst of color and movement, this original oil painting by Seattle artist Tim Robinson captures the spirit of Pike Place Market with impressionistic flair. Bold brushstrokes and a palette of reds, purples, yellow, and greens animate a lively scene of figures in celebration—some dancing, others gathering flowers, all under towering red-orange forms that evoke market stalls or festive columns. A central figure raises a fish overhead, ready for the customary fish toss of pike place market, anchoring the composition in gesture and story. Tim Robinson is a longtime fixture at Seattle’s Pike Place Market, known for his expressive oils that celebrate local life. His work blends memory and observation, often featuring vendors, musicians, and street scenes rendered in a style that favors emotion over precision. Robinson’s paintings are widely collected for their vibrant storytelling and deep ties to the Pacific Northwest.
