Description :
A group of six circulated Susan B. Anthony one dollar coins, minted in 1979 and 1980. These coins commemorate the pioneering suffragist and feature the Apollo 11 lunar landing eagle on the reverse—a nod to American innovation and progress. Compact and distinctive, these dollars are often mistaken for quarters due to their size and color, making them a conversation piece for collectors and educators alike. Years Included: 1979 (×4), 1980 (×2) Obverse: Portrait of Susan B. Anthony with “LIBERTY” and “IN GOD WE TRUST” Reverse: Eagle landing on the moon, adapted from the Apollo 11 mission insignia Composition: Copper-nickel clad Diameter: 26.5 mm (slightly larger than a quarter) This lot offers a compact slice of numismatic history, ideal for collectors seeking early SBA issues or educators curating U.S. coinage examples.
