An eclectic collection of vintage souvenir ashtrays. Each ashtray represents a different location or promotional theme, reflecting mid-20th-century Americana and travel culture. Here's a breakdown of notable features:

Regional Highlights

  • Georgia: A colorful ceramic ashtray featuring miniature state symbols like peaches and peanuts.

  • California & Los Angeles: Embossed with cityscape imagery, likely from the 1950s or 60s.

  • Nevada: A roulette wheel-themed ashtray, evoking Las Vegas casino culture.

  • Snoqualmie Pass: Scenic depiction of the Washington mountain pass, possibly a souvenir from a ski resort or travel stop.

  • Utah State Senate Guest: A white ashtray with bold red text, possibly used for official visitors.

Promotional Pieces

  • Wilson's Seed Tobacco: Multiple copper-toned ashtrays with the slogan “SELECT Because You Can't Rush Smooth Tobacco,” suggesting a marketing campaign for pipe or chewing tobacco. Three each

Materials & Design

  • A mix of ceramic, metal, and possibly Bakelite or plastic, with embossed, printed, and molded designs.

  • Shapes range from circular to square, with some featuring ridged edges or built-in cigarette rests.

This collection offers a nostalgic glimpse into roadside Americana, tobacco advertising, and state pride, making it a fascinating display of mid-century memorabilia.
