Description :
Aventurine is a variety of quartz that contains tiny mineral inclusions—usually mica, fuchsite, or hematite—that create a subtle sparkle called aventurescence.
Traits: Soft to medium green, often slightly translucent Shimmery or glittery effect when turned in the light Smooth, even texture
Origin:
Forms in silica‑rich environments where small plate‑like inclusions get trapped during quartz growth. Bloodstone is a dark green chalcedony with distinctive red spots caused by iron oxide.
Traits: Deep, almost forest‑green base Red flecks or splashes that look like droplets Opaque and dense
Origin:
Forms in silica‑rich hydrothermal systems; the red inclusions are hematite or jasper. Amazonite is a green to blue‑green variety of microcline feldspar.
Traits: Bright turquoise‑green color White streaks or grid‑like patterns Slightly pearly sheen
Origin:
Found in granitic pegmatites—slow‑cooling pockets of magma that allow large feldspar crystals to form. Despite the name, this isn’t actually an agate in the strict sense. It’s a white chalcedony with green dendritic (branch‑like) inclusions.
Traits: White or pale background Mossy, branching green patterns that resemble foliage Opaque to slightly translucent
Origin:
The “tree” patterns come from manganese or iron minerals that seep into fractures as the stone forms.Aventurine
