Description :
We believe this is a complete setting for 6 in Westmoreland's Milburn Rose pattern*. Marked sterling on the back (knives have stainless steel blades). Pattern was first produced in 1940 and was immensely popular due to its design that managed be intricate yet restrained at the same time. There is very little oxidation on the spoons and salad forks as they were sealed storage, but the dinner forks & knives need a good polish. Knives measure 9" Dinner forks measure 7 1/8" Salad forks measure 6 1/4" Spoons measure 6 7/8" * 2 things of note: - Tor some odd reason, one of the salad forks is not marked sterling - the area on it where the others are marked is smudged; it looks and weighs the same as the other salad forks and isn't magnet-affected. - There is one spoon that has a slight nick in the bowl part - please see last photo. We think it is a teaspoon as it is the same size as the others, but there's a slight chance it might be a jam spoon. However, client had no other serving utensils in the pattern, so we think it might have had an affair with the garbage disposal at some point and been buffed out. See last photo for comparison. Total weight not including knives (because of stainless blades): 624 grams Total weight of knives only: 387 grams
