Description :
This auction features a 2006 Guild D-40 “Bluegrass Jubilee” acoustic guitar, a classic American-made dreadnought celebrated for its strong projection, balanced tone, and unmistakable Guild character. Designed with bluegrass and flat-picking players in mind, the D-40 delivers a powerful low end with clear, ringing highs—ideal for both ensemble and solo playing. An aftermarket electric pickup has been installed tastefully, hidden from view (with no harm to the body), with volume and tone controls located inside of the sound hole on the left hand side. Crafted in Tacoma, Washington, USA, this guitar retains its original interior label marked “Made To Be Played,” a fitting motto for one of Guild’s most respected models. The guitar features a natural spruce top paired with richly stained back and sides, a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, and a distinctive Guild headstock with decorative inlay. Chrome Grover tuners are fitted, and the guitar is accompanied by its original fitted hard shell case, complete with plush interior and Guild badge.
