Description :
Measures 14" Tall × 6.5" Wide This striking hand‑blown art glass vase by Pacific Northwest glass artist Dan Bergsma features a rich amber body animated by dramatic black swirling lines that wrap organically around the form. The coloration shifts from deep honey to warm orange tones, giving the piece a molten, glowing presence. Bergsma’s signature fluid patterning creates a sense of movement throughout the cylindrical silhouette, while the high‑gloss surface enhances the depth and luminosity of the layered glass. Dan Bergsma is a Pacific Northwest studio‑glass artist known for his expressive use of color, layered patterning, and bold contemporary forms. Working primarily in hand‑blown glass, Bergsma creates vessels and sculptural pieces distinguished by swirling internal movement, rich tonal gradients, and strong visual presence. His work often features dramatic veining or marbled effects that highlight the fluidity of molten glass and the spontaneity of the blowing process. Bergsma’s pieces have been collected throughout the region and are admired for their craftsmanship, warmth, and modern aesthetic. His work reflects the broader legacy of Northwest studio glass—an area shaped by innovation, experimentation, and a deep appreciation for organic form and color.Artist Bio — Dan Bergsma (American, Contemporary)
