Description :
A studio‑crafted stoneware vase by Pacific Northwest potter Michel McCarter, finished in a warm brown glaze that emphasizes the fully textured surface. The body is worked in a woven or fabric‑like pattern throughout, creating a tactile, layered effect that enhances the vessel’s vertical form. An impressed Asian‑style seal on the front provides a subtle focal point and reflects McCarter’s interest in integrating global design motifs into her functional work. This lot includes an original artist biography written by McCarter, detailing her background, studio practice, and approach to texture, glaze development, and form. A distinctive example of Madrona Ridge Pottery’s handcrafted aesthetic and McCarter’s material‑forward craftsmanship. Artist Bio: Michel McCarter (Madrona Ridge Pottery) Michel McCarter is a Pacific Northwest ceramic artist known for her textured stoneware forms and warm, earth‑toned glazes.
