Description :

Pair of black distressed nightstands sturdily built with a top drawer and a swing left lower door. They have shaped apron supports and reinforced feet. The distressed finish was purposefully done, but the actual use of the pieces over the years has resulted in authentic wear on the top paint edges (note they are opposite depending upon which side of the bed they were on). The upper hinge on one needs to be bent slightly back into shape; it functions as is, but would function more smoothly if corrected - see last 2 photos in nightstand section. Backs on both are finished so they could be exposed. Measure 24" H x 14" W x 24" D.

The updated version of the traditional Chinese apothecary cabinet is made of solid wood with dovetail-join drawers, curved corner trim, and brass pulls. Total of 14 generous drawers with various characters incised on each. Fully finished on the reverse so it could be floated. In good used condition with only a couple of marks - see 2 most egregious in last photos. Measures 61.5" H x 18.5" W x 16.5" D.

SPECIAL NOTICE TO FURNITURE BIDDERS: pickups for the large furniture in this auction will be by appointment from 11am - 3pm on Thursday (10/8) and from 9am - noon on Friday (10/9).

Do not sign up for a pickup time on Saturday.

WE WILL CALL THE WINNING FURNITURE BIDDERS PERSONALLY AND ARRANGE FOR A MUTUALLY AGREEABLE TIME DURING THOSE WINDOWS OF TIME. The driveway is extremely steep and only allows for a single car/truck at a time to maneuver safely. Also be aware that there are numerous stairs at the home and most of the large furniture is up a flight of stairs. You MUST bring at least one other able-bodied person to help you - we cannot not move furniture for you. If you are unable to make these pickup times or unable to secure help, please do not bid.

PAYMENT DETAILS

Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you win, you must pick up your item(s). If you default on your purchase, your bidding privileges will be revoked permanently. Do not bid if you do not plan to purchase.If you bid, you MUST be available/arrange for pick-up of purchases on the pick-up date unless you have made prior shipping arrangements. Bring necessary tools and help for picking up large items. Loading assistance is NOT available. Some items may be located on a 2nd floor, out building.

Invoices are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed.Full payment must be made by 8:00 p.m. the day after auction closes. If total payment is not received before the pick-up date & time, items will be forfeited, and bidding privileges revoked.

Pick-up information will be on the invoice e-mailed after the auction closes.All items not picked up during the designated times will be considered abandoned and may be donated or resold. When possible, and at our sole discretion, an alternate pick-up time may be arranged. If this is possible, an appropriate fee will be charged.

A 12% Buyer's Premium and Sales Tax are added to the winning bid amount when invoiced. Sales tax is waived for licensed re-sellers.
