Description :

A magnificent, highly collectible custom fixed-blade knife handcrafted by the legendary late bladesmith Roderick "Caribou" Chappel. Produced under the Davis Knives banner out of Spokane, Washington, this piece showcases the radical, flowing geometry and extreme ergonomics that made Chappel an icon of 20th-century custom knifemaking.

This specific model is the highly sought-after "Micro-Mini-Mag Bowie", offering all of Chappel’s signature design language in an exceptionally balanced, mid-sized package.

The knife features a meticulously executed recurve Bowie blade with Chappel's legendary, labor-intensive deep hollow grinds and a brilliant mirror-polished finish. Near the choil, the blade is deeply and clearly etched with the maker's artistic script: "A Roderick Caribou Chappel Knife..." alongside the model designation, "Micro-Mini-Mag Bowie". The reverse side bears the crisp stamp: "Davis Knives, Spokane, WA" along with the steel composition, 440C—Chappel's preferred high-carbon stainless steel for achieving an uncompromised mirror shine.

True to Chappel's style, the handle is a masterclass in ergonomics, featuring deep, hand-filling finger grooves that melt naturally into the grip. It is constructed from a beautifully grained, rich exotic hardwood separated by precision spacers. The handle is anchored by a forward-swept solid brass finger guard and capped with a massive, polished brass pommel, providing a striking contrast to the warm wood and gleaming steel.
