Description :

A collection of five glass storage jars combining textured clear canisters, pale aqua Italian jars and a large Triomphe preserving jar. Sculpted glass handles, faceted sides and wire closures give the group a collected kitchen look, with varied sizes for countertop storage or display.

Details

Two clear glass canisters identified as L.E. Smith, with textured bodies, small side handles and removable glass lids with rectangular grips.
Two pale aqua, faceted glass jars embossed “Hermetic” and “Made in Italy,” with wire-bail closures and gasket seals.
One large clear glass jar with a wire-bail closure, orange gasket and a lid embossed “Triomphe.”
Five jars with their accompanying lids, offered together.

Measurements

Clear canisters, excluding lids: approximately 5⅝" W × 6" H and 5¾" W × 9⅛" H.
Italian Hermetic jars: approximately 5¾" and 10⅞" H; lids approximately 3¾" in diameter.
Triomphe jar: marked 3 L; approximately 10" H.

Highlights

Textured clear glass and pale aqua glass provide a complementary mix of shapes and finishes.
The Italian Hermetic jars have comparable examples on the vintage resale market, making them useful additions to an existing collection.
Varied heights work well for a pantry display, kitchen shelf or craft-room storage.

Condition

Used condition with surface scratches, cloudy areas, residue and wear to the bases. Wire closures show oxidation and discoloration. Gaskets and lid seals show age and discoloration; airtightness has not been tested. Clean before use and replace seals as needed. Suitability for heat processing or canning has not been established.

Invoices are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed.Full payment must be made by 8:00 p.m. the day after auction closes. If total payment is not received before the pick-up date & time, items will be forfeited, and bidding privileges revoked.

Pick-up information will be on the invoice e-mailed after the auction closes.All items not picked up during the designated times will be considered abandoned and may be donated or resold. When possible, and at our sole discretion, an alternate pick-up time may be arranged. If this is possible, an appropriate fee will be charged.

A 12% Buyer's Premium and Sales Tax are added to the winning bid amount when invoiced. Sales tax is waived for licensed re-sellers.
