Description :

A varied collection of seven Japanese porcelain pieces featuring floral decoration, colourful lustre finishes, and gilt accents. The group includes a teapot, covered sugar bowl, creamer, two handled vases, a footed floral cup, and a heart-shaped dish. Nippon and Japan marks appear on several pieces; the group combines different designs rather than a single matching service.

Details

Floral teapot with lavender-blue lustre, turquoise bands, and a flower-shaped lid finial.
Coordinating covered sugar bowl and creamer with orange flowers, green leaves, and blue-purple lustre trim.
Tall white vase with angular gilt handles, pink flowers, green foliage, and a green “Hand Painted Nippon” wreath mark.
Rounded two-handled vase with green and pink botanical decoration and extensive gilt detailing.
Small footed floral cup marked “Made in Japan.”
Heart-shaped handled dish with delicate floral borders, gilt edging, and a blue “Hand Painted Nippon” maple-leaf mark.
Seven vessels, plus the teapot and sugar bowl lids.

Measurements

Widths range approximately 1.75–8.75 inches; the teapot is noted as the widest piece.
Heights range approximately 1⅛–9.75 inches.

Highlights

A varied grouping for collectors of Japanese export porcelain, Nippon-marked wares, and floral lustreware.
Contrasting angular handles, scrolling handles, and small decorative forms offer several display options.
Historical note: Nippon marks are associated with Japanese export porcelain of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The different marks here should be considered individually when researching each piece.

Condition

Pre-owned condition with wear to gilding and lustre finishes, surface marks, and residue or discolouration in some interiors. Wear is particularly visible on the teapot handle and along several rims and foot rings. Some pieces show fine crazing and small dark spots. Please review the close-up photographs for individual condition details. Water retention and suitability for food or beverage use have not been tested.

Invoices are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed.Full payment must be made by 8:00 p.m. the day after auction closes. If total payment is not received before the pick-up date & time, items will be forfeited, and bidding privileges revoked.

Pick-up information will be on the invoice e-mailed after the auction closes.All items not picked up during the designated times will be considered abandoned and may be donated or resold. When possible, and at our sole discretion, an alternate pick-up time may be arranged. If this is possible, an appropriate fee will be charged.

A 12% Buyer's Premium and Sales Tax are added to the winning bid amount when invoiced. Sales tax is waived for licensed re-sellers.
