Description :

Viriginia Shortman Handmade Navajo pottery, both pieces signed by the artist. Water pitcher has a corn husk on one side, 3 rows of of a wrapped design on front and a scored handle. The small water pot has two handles, a scalloped spout, with one row of etching all the way around. Virginia learned how to make pottery from her mom, who was also taught by her grandmother. Virgina began making pottery in 1970 and uses techniques learned by her family to create her pieces. She uses all natural materials from start to finish, and fires her pottery with a homemade kiln. 

Water Pitcher measures at 9" H (top of spout) x 6.5" approx. diameter from spout to handle, 2" approx. diameter bottom.

Small Water pot measures close to 5.5" H x 2" diameter bottom.
