Description :

Navajo Dineh cooking coil pot signed pot by Judy & Woody Addison, there is a W which would conclude that Woody made this piece with the corn husk on it. Corn husks were used as a symbol of sustenance and was a main staple. This piece has a warm brown tone and was made and then placed into the earth where it is cooked and cooled down (Coil Pottery). The water pitcher is an Old Style Pinion Pine piece with a rope like handle and a toad at the neck. Toads or Horned Toads symbolized protection from evil. The small Pinion Pine Corn Husk pot has the initials A.B. on the bottom (Arlene Begay?) and has some almost olive color tones towards the bottom. There are three corn husks gathered together. This 3pc trio of pots would make a wonderful display on mantels, kitchens, shelves, offices, small stores, spas, etc....

Larger corn husk pot measures at 6" H x 5.25" diameter across top.

Pinion Pine water pitcher measures at 6" H x 4" approx. diameter at middle.

Small Pinion Pine pot measures at just under 4" H x 3.5" approx. diameter at middle.
