Description :
Client's father was a big game hunter from Alaska who hunted in the Americas and Asia. These are from his reference collection. He used these books to prepare for sheep hunts in the 1970s and1980s to complete his Super Grand Slam. See photos to judge condition for yourself.
ROWLAND WARD’S RECORDS OF BIG GAME – JG Dollman & JB

(London UK). 527 pages. Hard to find book! Gives detailed descriptions of
various game animals along with great vintage illustrations and record
measurements as of the time of publishing. Considered THE reference book for game records; the company is still running this series with the 2025 edition to come out shortly. This 1922 edition is full of interesting period photos and the lists include royalty (the only ones who could afford these hunts until recently!). Has definitely been used (obviously the book has been splayed flat to take notes from), but binding is still intact and pages are in great condition - see last photo.
