Description :

Trio of antique hunting books about hunting in what is now Pakistan, India, and Tibet. Client's father was a big game hunter from Alaska who hunted in the Americas and Asia. These are from his reference collection. Please see photos to judge condition for yourself.

WHEN THE RED GODS CALL – BEING THE BIOGRAPHTY OF A SHIKARI IN THE MAKING by Rawdon Malet. Hardcover. 1934. H.F. & G. Witherby (London UK). 255 pages. Shooting experiences in Tibet and other areas including ibex, tiger, bear, and sambar deer along with gazelle and shapu. Measures 8.75" H x 6" W. In good used condition.

SUNSET FROM THE MAIN by Lt. Gen. H.G. Martin “Al Khanzir”. Hardcover. 1951, Museum Press Ltd. (London UK). 288 pages. Former library book. British officer’s recounting of hunting in India in areas not generally known to the British public, particularly after the Partition. Measures 8.75" H x 6" W. Some writing & a rip on on the rear flyleaves with loosening of front cover - see photos.

STALKING IN THE HIMALAYAS AND NORTHERN INDIA by Lt. Col. C.H. Stockley. 1936, First printing, Herbert Jenkins Ltd. (London UK). 254 pages. Focuses on game of present-day Pakistan (before the Partition). Animals include many species of deer, sheep, and goats. Measures 8.75" H x 6" W. Good used condition.

Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you win, you must pick up your item(s). If you default on your purchase, your bidding privileges will be revoked permanently. Do not bid if you do not plan to purchase.If you bid, you MUST be available/arrange for pick-up of purchases on the pick-up date unless you have made prior shipping arrangements. Bring necessary tools and help for picking up large items. Loading assistance is NOT available. Some items may be located on a 2nd floor, out building.

Invoices are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed.Full payment must be made by 8:00 p.m. the day after auction closes. If total payment is not received before the pick-up date & time, items will be forfeited, and bidding privileges revoked.

Pick-up information will be on the invoice e-mailed after the auction closes.All items not picked up during the designated times will be considered abandoned and may be donated or resold. When possible, and at our sole discretion, an alternate pick-up time may be arranged. If this is possible, an appropriate fee will be charged.

A 10% Buyer's Premium and Sales Tax are added to the winning bid amount when invoiced. Sales tax is waived for licensed re-sellers.
