Description :

Are you a Phonics Fan or a New Math Critic? Are you old school in that you believe kids need a certain amount of "drill & kill" when it comes to basics like math facts? If so, you are in luck. These materials are from our client's mother who taught only kindergarten for nearly 40 years starting in the late 1950s. These materials were ones she bought herself to supplement the school's curriculum; her classroom was known in her community as incredibly successful in laying a foundation for later academic success with a blend of traditional academics, Montessori exploration, and Waldorf creativity.

2 worksheet books of kindergarten/K-1 math from the Elementary School Mathematics series of 1968 by Addison-Wesley. Included are the primer book and the grade 1 book. Note that there is only a single copy of each worksheet as this was intended to be given to students to work their way through. The first grade book has a few of the early worksheet missing.

Mathematics Around us from Scott, Foresman, & Co. published in 1978. Kindergarten level, but a bit more advanced than the worksheets in the other homeschool lots (#111 & #153).

Teach A Time analog clock in red, white, and blue. Clock arms are labeled minutes & hours (geared to move the hour hand as you move the minutes so kids see the hour hand in-between the numbers as the hour progresses). Blue buttons can be removed to show the minute numbers "15, 20, 25" etc. through the 60 minute hour. Hard plastic, could use a run through the dishwasher and would look almost new. Measures 7" W.

Wooden United States map. Most states are separate - some of the tiny ones in New England are not - see photos. State capitals are printed with their location on the white base of the puzzle under the individual pieces. Back has facts about every state. Made by Melissa & Doug. Measures approx. 11.5" H x 18" W.

More homeschool materials in Lot #111 & Lot # 153.
