Description :

This E minor concert flute is a very versatile contemporary scale, it’s a relative G major, which of course works well with guitars and strings. The E minor finger spread has a challenging reach at 6-1/2″ if you have small hands. It’s a comfortable reach for normal size hands.

These concert flutes feature a precision nest under the bird. The nest enhances the performance by giving you a really alive, present voice that can handle big breath extremes. It’s really hard to overblow these flutes, even with a heavy vibrato. These are the famous flutes that you hear on many of today’s native American style flute albums.

These concert flutes are built using a superior one piece construction method. This gives you a more solid flute without any delamination concerns which some two-piece flutes face. Drilling is also very accurate in as much as I can bore down the center of the flute +/- .002″, or ½ the thickness of a $1 bill. Drilling also makes for a prettier flute without the glue lines.

These flutes have a 6 hole, extended range tuning. This is sometimes called a Mode 1-Mode 4 tuning. They have a total of 15 notes, covering an octave plus a minor third. They also cover a 12 tone chromatic octave within the 15 note scale. This is the standard tuning used by most flute makers.

These have a hand-rubbed finish that includes four hand sandings, four coats of finish (inside and out) and a final steel wool rub. This process takes over four weeks. You’ll feel and see the difference our finishing effort makes.
