Description :
Three head sculptures all are plaster with a finish coat made to look like metal. Over time some of the outer coating on the busts has disappeared in places, but we think that gives them more character and just shows they aren't new & plastic. They appear to be from the mid to late 1950s with all 3 mounted on wooden plinths in natural or black. All are by the same artist whose name we’re having a hard time figuring out - it looks like the first name is "Yucca" or something similar. The last name we cannot make out. Our client didn’t care - she just thought they were great pieces and bought them without verifying the artist. Bald gentleman is inscribed “to Phil and Marie and Alice - 1956. My sincerest devotion.“ This piece measures just under 7" H. Gentleman with hair has a metal plaque inscribed “To my dear friend Phil. Sincerely yours, (artist's name) 1955.” This figure measures approximately 6" H. The female head is inscribed "To my dear friends Phil and Marie 1956.“ She measures 7.5" H. Sound Estate Company does not appraise art or guarantee authenticity.
