Antique Covered Vegetable Dish – John Maddock & Sons, Royal Semi Porcelain – England Maker: John Maddock & Sons, England Mark: Royal Semi Porcelain (crown hallmark) Era: Circa late 19th–early 20th century Design: Hand-painted floral garlands with gold highlights, ribbed and scalloped edges Dimensions: Approx. 12" wide handle to handle x 7" deep x 6" tall (with lid) Condition: Excellent antique condition with light age-related wear and minor gilt loss. No chips or cracks noted. Why it’s special: John Maddock & Sons were renowned for producing fine semi-porcelain for export, making this both a collectible and a functional serving piece. A beautiful addition for collectors of English transferware and porcelain, or as a display piece in a traditional dining setting.
This elegant covered vegetable dish was crafted by John Maddock & Sons in England, makers of fine porcelain since the 19th century. Marked Royal Semi Porcelain, this piece dates to the late 1800s–early 1900s and features a beautifully detailed floral vine pattern in warm golden-brown tones with gilt accents. The rectangular form includes ornate molded handles and a domed lid with a decorative finial.

Bring necessary tools and help for picking up large items. Loading assistance is NOT available. Some items may be located on a 2nd floor, out building.
Invoices are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed.Full payment must be made by 8:00 p.m. the day after auction closes. If total payment is not received before the pick-up date & time, items will be forfeited, and bidding privileges revoked.
Pick-up information will be on the invoice e-mailed after the auction closes.All items not picked up during the designated times will be considered abandoned and may be donated or resold. When possible, and at our sole discretion, an alternate pick-up time may be arranged. If this is possible, an appropriate fee will be charged.
A 10% Buyer's Premium and Sales Tax are added to the winning bid amount when invoiced. Sales tax is waived for licensed re-sellers.
