Description :

Retro deco chest of drawers from maker Virginia House has gentle curves and simplified classic styling. It has been well-loved but still has many years of use in it; given a little TLC/refinishing it could easily fit into a traditional, MCM, or modern setting.

This piece gives the appearance of being a low boy with a chest on top although it is actually all one piece. Medium-tone wood with nicely rounded corners (no sharp edges). Center track slide on dovetail joins in drawers. 3 wide drawers in lower section with 1 wide drawer and 2 smaller ones in upper section. Engraved mapleleaf in-between the two smaller drawers. Measures 48" H x by 32" W x 19" D. Top surface has some discoloration/marks/rings as would be expected for a vintage piece, but nothing terribly egregious. One small flaw on veneer at lower right side near back - not especially noticeable. See last photo.

Note - matching desk in next lot (#121)

NOTE: This piece is upstairs - you will have to navigate a set of stairs to the main floor and then it will be flat to the driveway. Please bring 2 able-bodied people with you to move this.

NOTE:

Pick-ups for furniture ONLY will be on FRIDAY FEBRUARY 13th in Shorewood during a 2-hour window: 1-3 p.m. If you cannot make this pickup window, please do not bid. We may have slight flexibility, but not much.

If you are the winning bidder, Krista will contact you personally for pick-up arrangements after auction close.

If you bid & win NON-FURNITURE ITEMS in this same auction, as a courtesy we will transport your non-furniture winnings to the furniture pickup location, so you only need to make one trip.
