Description :
Initially, we were not going to put this chair into the auction because it is rather odd-looking and if you DO like its looks, it needs some TLC. However, we happened to sit in it and now we know why the clients kept it so many years - it's amazingly comfortable! It would be great in your cabin as is with the vintage fabric or a quick refinish of the wood and updating the fabric cushions might really make this ugly duckling turn into a swan. Solid wood construction with a modified wing back frame, splayed squarish front legs, subtle back curve with pitch, and sturdy steel springs. The vintage velveteen fabric on the cushions is partially hand-sewn and we are guessing the interior is the original horsehair stuffing given its feeling of density (we would probably reuse the stuffing for new cushions if we made them - we love the heft of the older materials as opposed to foam). Measures approx. 32" H x 29" W x 32" D.
