Description :
Standard Oil Company of California
Early–Mid 20th Century Production (c. 1930s–1950s) A multi-crate lot of original Blazo wooden fuel shipping boxes produced for Standard Oil Company of California during the early–mid 20th century, a period when Blazo pressure‑appliance fuel was widely used for camp stoves, lanterns, and field equipment. Each crate retains its bold stenciled branding: “2 5‑GAL CANS – BLAZO – PRESSURE APPLIANCE FUEL – STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA,” accompanied by the distinctive red-circle flame emblem. Surfaces show authentic age, storage wear, and printing variations consistent with long-term industrial use. The graphics remain strong and visually compelling, making these crates excellent for collectors of petroleum history, Standard Oil advertising, or rustic display. Highlights Early–mid 20th century Standard Oil Company of California production Strong period graphics with the classic Blazo flame emblem Weathered, original surfaces with appealing industrial patina Ideal for collectors, decorators, and Americana displays Sourced from a single local estate with long-term storage A visually striking and historically grounded lot with strong crossover appeal for advertising, industrial, and Americana collectors.
