Description :

“In My Garden” is an original oil painting by Cecilia Todd, bursting with expressive color and textured floral movement. Clusters of red, orange, yellow, and violet blossoms rise from a warm, earthy background, their forms shaped by energetic, layered brushwork. Todd’s palette is rich and luminous, with deep contrasts that give the bouquet depth and vibrancy. The composition feels both spontaneous and intentional—an intimate, painterly celebration of garden life rendered with warmth and confidence.

Artist Bio — Cecilia Todd (American, 20th Century)

Cecilia Todd is an American painter known for her vibrant floral compositions and expressive use of color. Working primarily in oil, she developed a style rooted in bold brushwork, layered texture, and the emotional resonance of natural subjects. Her paintings often feature lush bouquets, garden scenes, and organic forms that balance structure with painterly freedom.

Todd studied fine art through regional programs and continued her development in private studio practice, refining a technique that blends impressionistic influence with contemporary color sensibility. Her work has been shown in Northwest galleries, community art centers, and juried exhibitions, and is held in private collections throughout the region. Collectors appreciate her ability to infuse traditional floral subjects with energy, depth, and modern warmth.
