A colorful country-kitchen collection featuring a Susan Winget rooster cookie jar, an Otagiri hen-shaped sugar bowl, and two ceramic bird wall pockets. Sculpted feathers, bright sunflowers and glossy glazes give each piece its own personality.

Details

Large rooster cookie jar with a removable head-and-neck lid, red and green plumage, raised sunflowers and a blue-accented base. Marked Certified International, Susan Winget, Made in China.
Gray-and-white hen sugar bowl with a removable lid and spoon opening. Underside bears an Otagiri 1981 mark and an OMC Japan foil label.
White rooster wall pocket with black tail feathers and a teal-green grass-textured pocket.
Brown turkey wall pocket with molded feather details and a fan-shaped tail.
Four ceramic pieces, plus the two fitted lids.

Measurements

Large rooster cookie jar: approximately 10.5" × 12".
Small hen sugar bowl: approximately 4.5" × 4.25".
Rooster wall pocket: approximately 5.5" × 7.25".
Turkey wall pocket: approximately 5" × 5.25".

Condition

Previously owned with surface wear, scuffs and residue. The small hen has a visible chip on its red comb. The wall pockets show interior staining and deposits, particularly inside the teal rooster pocket. The large cookie jar shows scattered marks and wear around the lid opening and raised details. Please review all close-up photographs.

Highlights

Susan Winget’s homewares draw on her artwork celebrating rural life, making the rooster and sunflower combination a fitting example of her country-inspired designs. The smaller hen carries an Otagiri 1981 mark, adding a Japanese-made collectible to the grouping.
The two wall pockets represent a decorative ceramic form designed to bring small floral arrangements onto the wall. Their shallow, sculptural shapes offer another way to display the bird theme alongside the countertop jars.

Invoices are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed.Full payment must be made by 8:00 p.m. the day after auction closes. If total payment is not received before the pick-up date & time, items will be forfeited, and bidding privileges revoked.

Pick-up information will be on the invoice e-mailed after the auction closes.All items not picked up during the designated times will be considered abandoned and may be donated or resold. When possible, and at our sole discretion, an alternate pick-up time may be arranged. If this is possible, an appropriate fee will be charged.

A 12% Buyer's Premium and Sales Tax are added to the winning bid amount when invoiced. Sales tax is waived for licensed re-sellers.
