Description :
A varied book collection led by an author-signed copy of Nancy Irene Hall’s Carbon River Coal Country, accompanied by illustrated Western histories, military titles and an unabridged dictionary. Regional photographs, maps and historical illustrations give the grouping appeal for readers and local-history collectors. The signed regional history is the collection’s focal point, covering the Carbon River area’s mining communities, including Carbonado, Wilkeson, Fairfax and nearby settlements. The illustrated Western and Army volumes complement it with broader American historical subjects. Provisional estate-auction estimate: $40–$80 for the lot. Actual results will depend on the signed regional title’s condition, the number of included volumes and bidder interest. Previously owned with cover rubbing, edge and corner wear, page toning, spotting and staining. Carbon River Coal Country shows pronounced wear to its covers and comb binding, along with handwritten inscriptions. The Battles in the Monsoon dust jacket has tears, creasing and tape repairs. The dictionary shows substantial page-edge discoloration and spotting. Individual books have not been checked page by page for completeness. Please review the photographs for details.
