Description :

A gathering of seven pottery pieces that get along nicely without matching. Earthy brown glazes, cobalt-blue bands and speckled neutrals connect the pitcher, covered crock, paired mugs and smaller accents.

Details

  • One ribbed pitcher with a broad loop handle and flowing brown, ochre and blue-gray glaze.
  • One brown-and-cream covered crock with a single side handle and a blue crown mark enclosing the numeral 2. Manufacturer is unconfirmed.
  • Two coordinating speckled mugs with blue and dark-brown horizontal bands.
  • One small bottle-shaped vase with linear botanical decoration.
  • One miniature speckled vessel with a narrow neck and flared lip.
  • One shallow square dish with curved sides and a pale blue-gray glaze accented by reddish-brown shading.
  • Some bases carry incised marks; individual potters and production dates are unidentified.

Measurements

  • Height range: approximately 2.7"–6.5".
  • Width range: approximately 2"–6".

Highlights

The varied glaze treatments make this an appealing grouping for pottery collectors, with coordinated mugs alongside individual display pieces. The compact vessels and shallow dish offer options for arranging the collection across a kitchen shelf or cabinet.

Condition

Previously owned with surface marks, base wear, discoloration and residue. The pitcher has a chipped area at the pouring lip. The covered crock shows wear around the opening and lid seating edge, along with staining to its unglazed base. Other pieces have scattered glaze irregularities and handling wear. Food-use suitability and liquid retention have not been verified. Please review the photographs for individual condition details.
