Pair of NASA publications from 1972 about the Apollo 17 Mission. 

LAUNCHING TO THE MOON - THE APOLLO MISSION FROM LIFT-OFF TO LANDING by John H Boynton. Softcover with staples. February 1972, no NASA Special Publication number (Washington DC). 37 pages. Explains the nuts & bolts of the mission in concise language with clear explanations of physics, timing, and explanations of launch windows. In black & white with several illustrations & glossary.

ON THE MOON WITH APOLLO 17 -  A GUIDE TO TAURUS-LITROW by Gene Simmons. Softcover with staples. December 1972,  NASA EP-101 (Washington DC).111 pages. Also written in for a general audience, but one with a clear interest in science. Details on the lunar rovers, tools used, and technical specifications are covered, but written in a very accessible way for a general audience with some science background. In black & white with numerous illustrations & photos.

Both booklets are in excellent condition with no obvious signs of wear or use. They are each bound with two staples that have started to rust, but are still fast. There is one small, barely noticeable pen stroke on the front of the Launch booklet - see last photo.
