1960s EPs and 2 brochures – lots to mull over
and listen to:
EPs don't show any egregious scratches on cursory examination. All covers show some wear
from age/use. They include: 1) “Voices from the Moon” from
Philco. Floppy record of the transmissions between Mission Control and Apollo
11. 2) “Walk in Space – Voices of the Astronauts” from Revell. Record of
transmissions between the Gemini astronauts and Mission Control. 3) “America’s
First Man in Orbit” from Nelson Doubleday. Record of the transmissions between
John Glenn & Mission Control on Friendship 7 mission. 4) “Aurora 7” from
Nelson Doubleday. Record of the transmissions between Scott Carpenter & Mission
Control. 5) “Sigma 7” from Nelson Doubleday. Record of the transmissions
between Wally Schirra & Mission Control. Brochures include:
“Nasa Information Summaries – The Early Years:
Mercury to Apollo-Soyuz” booklet. 1987, Kennedy Space Center (KSC – PMS –1-A).
14 pages. Outlines general history of early space program.
“Project Gemini” booklet. NASA. 1966 – general
info including space suits, technical drawings, launch diagrams, etc. of the
Gemini program. 51 pages. Really informative and packed with info. Note that our client was doing some calculations on thrust, etc. on page 30 and the centerfold page is loose.
