Description :
Flight Suit -
this is the real thing worn by our client as a Phantom fighter pilot. Breast
patch for Tactical Command, left shoulder patch for 58th Tactical
Fighter Training Wing. Two bars on either shoulder, zip-front closure with
2-way zipper, Velcro waist adjustment w/elastic belt band, a pair of zip breast
pockets, pocket with zip on left sleeve, Velcro cuff closures, armpit
ventilation holes, thigh pocket w/ zip closure, shin pockets with zip, boot gussets
with zip, and hip pockets with through access for pants pockets. It has been
worn (some zipper welt wear as well as a bit of wear here and there), but still
in terrific condition for that would-be fantasy pilot; we think this was the
last flight suit our client wore in the military with the patches still intact and lack of
wear seen in his other flightsuits. Size tag states “40” but client was on
smaller side - this suit would probably fit females, too. Measures
20" pit to pit, 17.5" side to side at waist, and 55"
from shoulder seam to pants hem.
F-4 Phantom
II model kit from Hasegawa Hobby Kits of Japan. Model #TH5:800 60105. Part of
the Eggplane series, new in original plastic packaging with directions &
decals. 2007.
Anchorage
Times Newspaper article from 1981 profiling the unit our client was in.
