Description :

An aged Red Wing stoneware crock, marked with the iconic red wing emblem and bold "12" indicating its gallon capacity.  This piece is from the early 20th-century.  Used for food storage, fermentation or as a utilitarian anchor in farmhouse kitchens.  Red Wing pottery was made in Minnesota and their production of large crocks began in 1909 and ceased in 1947.

Original wire and wood handles on each side of crock.  Note there is an exterior crack of approximately 6-8 inches on one side, and an oval shaped crack on lip in one area.  No lid with this crock.

Due to weight and size, two able-bodied persons may be necessary to lift and load this item.
