Description :
A charming grouping of Asian decorative pieces including a pair of engraved brass containers, a carved soapstone monk figure, and a hand-painted decorative parasol. The matching brass boxes feature detailed engraved landscape scenes with pagodas, bridges, and stylized trees within a geometric border. These classic mid-20th-century Chinese export pieces were commonly used as tea caddies, tobacco containers, or decorative trinket boxes and display a warm aged patina. Also included is a small carved soapstone figure depicting a robed monk or scholar holding a small animal, mounted on a square base, along with a decorative painted paper parasol featuring floral and calligraphy motifs. A lovely decorative grouping ideal for shelf styling, desk display, or Asian-inspired interiors. The tea caddies are 3.75" in both height & diameter. The parasol is 11.75" in diameter when open & the handle is 10" in overall length. The soapstone monk figure is almost 4" in height.
